"Beat It" FTW. Here's hoping we get Weird Al's "Eat It" as a bonus track...

Someone could remake the Beat It notes but have Eat it being the track. It's the same beat, lol.

^ Oh, how I wish. Anyway, I'm glad that we'll supposedly be able to use the Rock Band instruments with GH4, as I REALLY didn't want to have to buy another drum set and guitar, especially if there was a chance they wouldn't work with RB2 as well. The song creator sounds interesting, but I'll have to see it in action before I can pass judgment. (If it works well, I'm TOTALLY adapting Wily's Castle 1 from Mega Man 2...) However, I've not seen enough of the game to form a solid opinion. I know I'll be getting RB2 since all my DLC will be compatible and I can transfer over all the songs from RB1, but I'll have to see more of GH4 before I make a final decision. Do you know if it is the other way too? Will Gh drums/guitars work with Rb2?

I'm sure they will. After all, the GH3 guitar works with Rock Band 1.

So can you DEFINITELY upload MP3's? I thought it was just manipulating tracks you had.

^^Yes, thats the impression I got too. I'm pretty sure thats almost exactly what Youko said when they were discussing this. These games are tight...but, are you guys really going to buy a WHOLE new set, after buying Rock Band 1? ...that is, if you didn't use gimpyfish's strategy and play your friend's game. And Rock Band 2 as well. Like seriously, this stuff is expensive. I guess the fact that you may be able to use GH4 drums on RB2, etc. helps with this $$ issue. But can you separate out the different instruments, or are you required to buy the whole set? By the way, In the End is an awesome song and is a great addition. I hope Headstrong makes it .

I'm definitely getting this. On 360, mind. I got tired of having it on the Wii.
Plus, with this new Dashboard Update coming soon, can't you burn the CD's contents onto your hard drive? So all you'd have to do is buy the instruments? Cheaper £s?
LOOKING FORWARD TO THE MUSIC STUDIO, it looks fantastic. I hope you can have stupid keys like Neopolitan Minor and Lydian etc. It'll be lawl.
Any Mario/Sonic theme tunes made? I think we should all collaborate to bring this funky goodness.
BTW, if uploading the MP3 etc was the case, you'd have to think of things like variable RPMs (which I discovered in my DDR maker, lul). It's not fun to get it right. I'd much prefer the DIY/Starting from scratch. My only concern is that it will be too complicated and you won't be able to get the certain notes you want in the songs if you're trying to replicate a specific song. Also, the tones.
It'll be a good money making ploy if they Activision/Red Octane released different tones/sounds/kits for the various instruments. I don't know, like 'Travis Barker's 1950 Vintage Kit' or something for 100G, it'll make the songs sound better and give more flexability. Or if they wanted to go more in detail, they could provide 'Zildjian Cymbal Kit 1' and you could change the cymbals that you use. I think it's totally feasible. MOAR WIN if you could change the skin on the snare drum, but I think that's venturing outside of a video game too much.
